From federal OWCP and state workers' comp to personal-injury liens and cash-pay, here is how payment works for your care.
Paying for injury care should not be the hardest part of getting better. Core Medical Center works with federal and state work-injury programs, auto and personal-injury claims, and most common insurance, and our front desk helps you sort out coverage before treatment begins. For accepted federal OWCP and workers' compensation claims, care is typically delivered at no out-of-pocket cost to you, because treatment is billed through the responsible program rather than to you directly.
Specific plan participation, in-network status and benefit details vary by carrier and change over time, so please confirm your individual coverage with our team when you schedule. The summary below explains the main ways your care can be paid for at our Blue Springs and Overland Park locations.
Ways We Are Paid
- Federal OWCP / DOL (FECA): authorized treatment for accepted federal work injuries, billed through the Department of Labor.
- Workers' compensation, Missouri & Kansas: coordinated with your employer, adjuster and case manager.
- Personal injury & auto accident: treatment on a lien with your attorney where eligible, plus MedPay and PIP coordination.
- Medicare & most insurance: confirm your specific plan with our front desk.
- Cash-pay: transparent self-pay options, including for regenerative care.
Federal OWCP and Work-Injury Billing
Federal employees with an accepted FECA claim, including postal workers, can receive authorized treatment that is billed directly to the Department of Labor, so there is no co-pay or balance due from you on accepted conditions. For Missouri and Kansas workers' compensation, we coordinate authorization and reporting with your employer, adjuster and case manager so that approved care is not delayed by paperwork.
