Personal Injury Doctor in Kansas City for Accident and Injury Care
Hurt in a car accident, slip and fall, or other injury and not sure where to start? A personal injury doctor at Core Medical Center evaluates your injuries, builds a physician-directed treatment plan, and produces the documentation your claim needs, all under one roof in Blue Springs and across the Greater Kansas City metro. We treat on a lien, work with your attorney, and bill MedPay and PIP when those benefits apply.
In short: a personal injury doctor diagnoses your accident injuries, treats them, and writes the medical records and prognosis your case depends on, so you can focus on recovery instead of paperwork.
What a Personal Injury Doctor Does
- Examines and diagnoses your accident injuries with a physician-directed plan
- Documents the injury, treatment, and prognosis your claim and attorney need
- Coordinates chiropractic care, physical therapy, and pain management in one place
- Works directly with your personal injury attorney and adjuster
- Bills MedPay and PIP coverage, or treats on a lien when appropriate
Because medical care, therapy, and rehabilitation share one building, your records stay consistent from the first exam through discharge. That continuity matters when your injuries and your documentation are reviewed together.
Who We Help
We see patients across the Kansas City metro who were injured in situations that fall outside the workplace, including:
- Car and motor vehicle accidents with neck, back, and soft tissue injuries
- Slip, trip, and fall injuries on someone else’s property
- Pedestrian and cyclist injuries
- Patients referred by a personal injury attorney who need coordinated medical care
If your injury happened on the job instead, our workers’ compensation team handles that path, and federal employees are served by our OWCP doctor service.
Injuries and Conditions We Treat
Accident injuries we commonly evaluate include whiplash, neck and back strain, herniated disc, headaches, and concussion, along with shoulder and knee injuries. Many crash injuries are delayed, so an early exam catches problems before they settle into chronic pain. Your provider connects your diagnosis to the right mix of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and, when appropriate, injection or pain management options through our auto accident clinic.
For accident care, our clinic is recognized in the GBP categories of chiropractor and pain control clinic, which reflects how we pair hands-on musculoskeletal treatment with medical pain management for injured patients.
Physician-Directed, Attorney-Friendly Care
Your care is led by physicians and clinicians who treat injury cases every day. Dr. Aston Goldsworthy, DC, MSN, FNP-BC, our founder, directs injury and occupational care, and Dr. Paul Doskey, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist, leads pain management and injection procedures for patients whose injuries need more than conservative treatment. When your case calls for an objective evaluation, our IME and independent medical exam service provides impairment-rating support.
We communicate clearly with attorneys and adjusters and keep your file organized so your legal team has what it needs without chasing records.

What Our Patients Say
Great staff and have been very professional in identifying my troubles and getting me the PT and help needed in order to recover from an accident
I was injured in a car accident and both pat and Aston Goldsworthy were instrumental in my recovery. They have an amazing staff that made my rehab experience great. I would recommend going there if you are injured in an accident or just for adjustments. Thanks guys for helping me through this ordeal.
I got in an accident at the end of May in Kansas and chose Core Medical Center for treatment because it was closest to my place of work. While the treatment was great and the staff incredibly friendly, I couldn’t be more disappointed with their organization. I quit treatment about 3 weeks ago because my schedule no longer allows and asked them to go ahead and send my bills to my car insurance as my primary because Kansas is a no fault state. I had given them the info for Shelter as my primary insurance MULTIPLE times and told them DO NOT bill my health insurance, it was an accident so they will not pay my bills. They told me multiple times that Shelter was being billed as my primary for the no fault coverage. Finally called up today because I got a letter that shelter hasn’t received a single bill and Core Med Center didn’t even have Shelter’s info entered anywhere in my file. They only had my health insurance in the system, and every single bill had gone to my parents house to be paid. Also had a phone number I’ve never heard in my life listed as my number, so not even an appropriate way to contact me. Absolutely ridiculous. Connie was very helpful in resolving the issue, but it should have never happened in the first place because I asked about the billing almost every time I went in for therapy.

Personal Injury Doctor FAQ
What does a personal injury doctor do?
A personal injury doctor evaluates and treats injuries from a car accident, slip and fall, or other non-work incident, then documents the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis your case needs. At Core Medical Center this care is physician-directed and coordinated with our chiropractic, physical therapy, and pain management teams in Blue Springs, serving the Greater Kansas City metro.
Can I be seen on a lien or with no money up front?
Yes. We work directly with personal injury attorneys and can treat on a letter of protection or lien in many cases, which means care now and billing handled through your settlement. We also bill MedPay and PIP coverage when it applies. Bring your accident details and attorney information and our front desk will confirm options for your situation.
How soon after an accident should I be seen?
As soon as possible. Whiplash, soft tissue strain, and concussion symptoms can be delayed and worsen if untreated, and an early, documented exam protects both your recovery and your claim. Same-week appointments are typically available.
