Personal Injury Doctor in Kansas City (Lien / Attorney / MedPay / PIP)
Personal injury doctor in Overland Park, KS for car accident and injury care. We treat on a lien, work with attorneys, and bill MedPay and PIP in Johnson County.
A personal injury doctor evaluates and treats injuries from a car accident, slip and fall, or other non-work incident, then documents the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis your claim needs. At Core Medical Center this care is physician-led and integrated, pairing chiropractic, physical therapy, and pain management in one place so your records stay consistent and your attorney has what they need.
Personal Injury Doctor in Overland Park for Crash and Injury Care
Were you hurt in a wreck on I-435, a fall at an Overland Park business, or another accident that was not your fault? A personal injury doctor at Core Medical Center examines your injuries, sets a physician-directed treatment plan, and writes the medical record your claim depends on, all in one Johnson County office. We treat on a lien, coordinate with your attorney, and bill MedPay and Kansas PIP coverage when those benefits apply.
In short: a personal injury doctor diagnoses your accident injuries, treats them, and produces the records and prognosis your case rests on, so you can put your energy into healing rather than paperwork.
What a Personal Injury Doctor Handles
- Performs a focused exam and diagnosis of your accident injuries under physician direction
- Writes the injury, treatment, and prognosis documentation your Kansas claim and attorney rely on
- Brings chiropractic care, physical therapy, and pain management together under one roof
- Talks directly with your personal injury attorney and the adjuster on your file
- Bills MedPay and Kansas PIP, or treats on a lien when that is the right fit
Because the exam room, therapy gym, and pain management suite sit in the same Overland Park building, your records read as one consistent story from intake through discharge. Adjusters and attorneys review your treatment and your paperwork side by side, and that continuity carries weight.
Who We Treat in Johnson County
Our Overland Park patients are people hurt in situations that fall outside the workplace, including:
- Motor vehicle crashes on Metcalf, I-435, or the KS-side interstates, with neck, back, and soft tissue injuries
- Slip, trip, and fall injuries at stores, offices, and properties around Oak Park Mall and the wider metro
- Pedestrian and cyclist injuries
- Patients referred by a Kansas personal injury attorney who need coordinated medical care and clean documentation
If your injury instead happened on the job, our workers’ compensation team handles that route, and federal employees are cared for through our OWCP doctor service.
Injuries and Conditions We Evaluate
Common crash injuries we assess include whiplash, neck and back strain, herniated disc, post-impact headaches, and concussion, along with shoulder and knee injuries. Many of these are slow to show, so an early visit catches trouble before it hardens into chronic pain. Your provider links the diagnosis to the right blend of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and, where it is warranted, injection or pain management options through our Overland Park auto accident clinic.
For accident care, our clinic carries the GBP categories of chiropractor and pain control clinic, which mirrors how we combine hands-on musculoskeletal treatment with medical pain management for injured patients.
Physician-Directed, Attorney-Friendly Care
Your treatment is led by clinicians who manage injury cases week in and week out. Our founder, Dr. Aston Goldsworthy, DC, MSN, FNP-BC, directs injury and occupational care, and Dr. Paul Doskey, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist, leads pain management and injection procedures for patients whose injuries need more than conservative therapy. When a case calls for an objective second look, our IME and independent medical exam service supports impairment ratings.
We keep communication with attorneys and adjusters clear and timely, and we keep your file organized so your legal team is never chasing records.

What Our Patients Say
Great staff and have been very professional in identifying my troubles and getting me the PT and help needed in order to recover from an accident
I was injured in a car accident and both pat and Aston Goldsworthy were instrumental in my recovery. They have an amazing staff that made my rehab experience great. I would recommend going there if you are injured in an accident or just for adjustments. Thanks guys for helping me through this ordeal.
I got in an accident at the end of May in Kansas and chose Core Medical Center for treatment because it was closest to my place of work. While the treatment was great and the staff incredibly friendly, I couldn’t be more disappointed with their organization. I quit treatment about 3 weeks ago because my schedule no longer allows and asked them to go ahead and send my bills to my car insurance as my primary because Kansas is a no fault state. I had given them the info for Shelter as my primary insurance MULTIPLE times and told them DO NOT bill my health insurance, it was an accident so they will not pay my bills. They told me multiple times that Shelter was being billed as my primary for the no fault coverage. Finally called up today because I got a letter that shelter hasn’t received a single bill and Core Med Center didn’t even have Shelter’s info entered anywhere in my file. They only had my health insurance in the system, and every single bill had gone to my parents house to be paid. Also had a phone number I’ve never heard in my life listed as my number, so not even an appropriate way to contact me. Absolutely ridiculous. Connie was very helpful in resolving the issue, but it should have never happened in the first place because I asked about the billing almost every time I went in for therapy.

Personal Injury Doctor FAQ
Do I need a referral to see a personal injury doctor in Overland Park?
No. You can come straight to our Overland Park office on Barkley after a crash or fall, and we will start the exam, diagnosis, and documentation your claim needs. If a Johnson County attorney sent you, bring their contact details and we will coordinate directly with their office.
Will you treat on a lien if I have no money up front?
Often, yes. We work with personal injury attorneys across the Kansas City metro and can treat on a letter of protection or lien in many cases, which means care now and billing settled through your case. We also bill MedPay and Kansas PIP coverage when those benefits apply, and our front desk will confirm what fits your situation.
How quickly should I come in after a Kansas car accident?
As soon as you can. Whiplash, soft tissue strain, and concussion symptoms often surface days later and worsen without care, and an early documented exam protects both your recovery and your Kansas claim. Same-week appointments in Overland Park are typically available.
