Matt Elniff, PT, MPT, FAAOMPT, is the Lead Physical Therapist at Core Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO. He directs the physical therapy team and brings advanced training in orthopedic manual therapy to patients recovering from injury, surgery and chronic pain across the Greater Kansas City metro.
In short: Matt Elniff leads hands-on, evidence-based physical therapy at Core Medical Center, helping patients in Blue Springs and Kansas City rebuild strength, movement and confidence after injury.
Background and Training
Matt holds a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), a fellowship credential earned by therapists who pursue advanced study in manual examination and treatment of the spine and joints. That training shapes how he works: careful hands-on assessment first, then a targeted plan that addresses the source of the problem rather than only the symptom.
As Lead Physical Therapist, Matt also helps set the standard of care for the wider therapy team and keeps each patient’s rehab connected to the rest of their plan inside our integrated clinic.
Focus Areas
Matt works with a broad range of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, with particular attention to:
- Spine-related pain, including neck pain and back pain
- Recovery after sprains, strains and surgery, such as shoulder pain and knee pain
- Balance, dizziness and steadiness problems that raise the risk of falls
- Strength and endurance rebuilding for injured workers returning to physically demanding jobs
His approach is collaborative and specific. Patients are partners in the plan, and progress is measured against goals that matter in daily life, whether that is sleeping through the night, lifting a grandchild or passing a return-to-work test.
Services
Matt provides care through several of our therapy and rehabilitation programs:
- Physical Therapy for pain, mobility and post-surgical recovery
- Injury Rehabilitation for a structured return to activity after an accident or injury
- Balance and Fall Prevention for patients managing unsteadiness or dizziness
- Work Conditioning and Work Hardening for a documented, safe return to duty
The Integrated Team
Because Core Medical Center keeps medical, chiropractic, physical therapy and occupational therapy under one roof in Blue Springs, Matt works closely with colleagues across the building. He coordinates with chiropractors like Dr. Devyn Chapman on shared rehab patients, with Dr. Paul Doskey when pain management or injection care supports therapy, and with occupational therapist Carleigh Emanuel on work-injury and return-to-function cases. That shared planning shortens the gap between diagnosis and recovery.
New patients are welcome, and same-week appointments are typically available. If you are dealing with pain, recovering from an injury or working back toward full duty, you can book a visit with our therapy team and meet Matt and his colleagues.
